Hello lovely readers!
I hate that I haven't posted in two weeks, but life has just been so busy! Although I'm not to the point of wishing this pregnancy was done and our little Peanut was here already, I can definitely feel the toll it's taking on my body! I'm getting tired more easily again, but more than anything my feet and my back are bothering me. Being on my feet for anything more than a half hour makes both my feet and my back ache and it drives me crazy because I'm not very good at just sitting around twirling my thumbs- I want to be up and getting things done! Last week I vacuumed the whole house- it took about 45 minutes and by the end I was wiped out and my back and feet were killing me.
People keep asking me if I'm just ready to have this baby and I keep telling them no- not until after April 9th! Anything after that and I'll be happy. I think I've mentioned it here before, but I have a really big event that I'm in charge of for work (we're talking a couple thousand people in attendance) and it takes place on April 8th & 9th. I really REALLY just want to make it through that event! I'm taking steps to prepare things for that event just in case our little dude does decide to make an earlier appearance and I'm not able to be there, but doing all that prep work now is definitely another thing that's keeping me very busy!
A really fun thing that Hubby G and I were busy with the last few days were baby showers! Hubby G's mom threw us a shower this past weekend and it was wonderful! We were very generously gifted with all kinds of great baby gear and it was so fun getting it all organized and ready to go in our little Peanut's room. Today my co-workers had a baby shower for me and again, we received some really awesome baby gear! I'm so blown away by the generosity of everyone- we are definitely fortunate to be surrounded by so many people who want to help us welcome our little guy into the world!
As crazy busy as life feels right now, I still feel really fortunate and thankful for how smoothly everything has been going- it actually seems a little unbelievable! I never had a single bout of morning sickness or nauseousness and although I wake up one or two times during the night, I'm sleeping pretty well and I never actually have to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
I'm probably going to start getting up 15 times a night now to go to the bathroom since I just typed that.
Thanks for hanging in here with me and my sporadic posting!
Maybe getting up 15 times a night now to go to the bathroom is natures way of preparing you to get up several times in the middle of the night when you soon hear our little peanut cry. :-) wow (words of wisdom) G-ma
