I could never possibly write down all of the things that I am thankful for, but these two are definitely at the top of the list:
I can't believe Baby C is already 7 MONTHS OLD. How did that happen? I'm pretty sure some sort of crazy time warp thing is going on, because my sweet baby boy can't possibly be 7 months old already.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year- first time that we've ever hosted Thanksgiving dinner with more than just Hubby G and I! I'm pleased to announce that it went very well and we did not burn the house down. Hubby G actually did most of the cooking and he did a fantastic job.
Also, our turkey and Baby C were about the same size. And that's saying something since Baby C is somewhere around 20 lbs.
We are going to be eating turkey until Christmas.
I'm so thankful to have my family here for Thanksgiving and that all of our family members including extended family that we don't get to see at the holidays are all in pretty good health. I'm also thankful for wonderful friends who are so fun and such great support. And I absolutely cannot forget Colby. That crazy dog brings so much joy to our lives and he is such a good big doggy brother to Baby C. Colby snuggles up next to him and lets him pull his fur and kick his nose and doesn't even seem to mind. Photo evidence of the snuggling (I swear this was not staged at all. Baby C was hanging out and Colby came downstairs and snuggled right up with him and Hubby G was able to snap a few pics before Colby had enough):
Last but certainly not least, I'm thankful for all of YOU blog readers! 2011 has brought more new readers here to Savvy & Sweet than ever before and your sweet comments make my day every. single. time. Seriously. Thank you so much for taking time to read my ramblings- I love to write, and even though I may not be very consistent in my posting, it's something that brings me a lot of happiness and that is amplified times a million when one of you comments and lets me know for sure that this writing isn't just going out into the black hole of the internet.
And it is now officially the Christmas season!! I think we're going to go get our tree today- I insist on a real tree and there is a tree farm just 5 miles down the road (which I just realized that I mentioned in my Giving Thanks: 2010 Edition post last year). Last year we picked a pre-cut one, but maybe we'll cut our own this year...we'll see!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
That picture of C and Colby is ridiculously cute! What a great family. :)
